This year's Big Day of Play is on Saturday, August 16th from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. at Rainier Community Center and Playfields.

Big Day of Play is a celebration of our City’s diversity and it encourages neighbors, communities and families to have fun, build relationships and be active together.

Volunteer groups will choose from one of the following volunteer activities during their shift:

- Monitoring the Composting Stations
- Field Activities
- Greeter and Security Support
- Surveyors/Data Collection
- Water and Cooling Stations
- Water Slide and Inflatables Crowd Support

Service learning credit is available for students, up to 8 hours.

The Volunteer Programs Coordinator will send an application to you via email once you are registered on VolunteerMatch.

Description

Seattle Parks and Recreation - Central Recreation consists of Montlake, Miller, Garfield, Yesler, and Queen Anne Community Centers. In addition, Central Recreaion provides support for the new Belltown Community Center scheduled to open in June of 2012.
