ORGANIZATION: Homestead Hospice

  • 17 people are interested

Homestead Hospice interns, under the supervision of our professional staff, will work with hospice patients and their families, attend interdisciplinary team meetings, and have the opportunity to interact and shadow members of the Homestead Hospice professional team, including nurses, social workers, and chaplains. Interns will also complete a project that corresponds with their area of study.

Interns have the opportunity to visit patients in homes and facilities, lead activities in facilities, facilitate Virtual Dementia Tours, and learn our Healthcare Database Management software. Our interns gain valuable transferable skills that will increase their marketability while becoming an integral part of the Homestead Hospice team.

We offer internships to students in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Work, Health Care Management, Administrative Management, Integrative Studies, Psychology and Human Services, Marketing and Business Administration.

For information on how you can become a Homestead Hospice Intern, please contact Anna Murphy at amurphy@homesteadhospice.net.
