Goodwill of North Georgia is a part of This Way Ahead, which is a Youth Development program aimed at providing job readiness skills, internships, and possibly employment to youth aged 16-24.

The Youth Employment Participants received Job Readiness Training at Goodwill in the Spring, participated in interviews, and were selected for internships at GAP, Old Navy, and Banana Republic stores. The internships are 10 weeks long and will conclude in August.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with a graduation ceremony to celebrate all of their hard work. Please see below for needs for the event:

1) Set-Up - arrive at 9:00am and assist staff with setting up for the event.
2) Registration - arrive at 10:00am to receive training on registration process and then help youth get registered.
3) Food/catering - arrive by 10:00am and receive training on food table and then help to serve youth food and beverages.
4) Clean-up - Arrive by 11:00am and assist team with event space clean up.

When you give to Goodwill or shop in our stores, you are helping people who lack education or work experience, those who have disabilities, youth, veterans and others who may be having a hard time finding employment. Together, we put people to work.
