Administrative/Office Services Volunteer:
Provides clerical support to the hospice program by fulfilling assignments in the office.
Typing and/or computer knowledge preferred. Previous experience working in an office setting desired.
Make a time commitment of six months to serve a minimum of two hours a week as needed.
Duties:
1.) Assists with clerical work, filing, answering phones, etc.
2.) Prepares and mails off bereavement information, newsletter, or other literature.
3.) Make admission packets, patient education materials, or other handouts.
4.) Assists the Volunteer Coordinator with Volunteer Training Sessions and other activities.
5.) Writes thank you notes for donations and sympathy cards.
6.) Attends monthly meetings, on-going education programs, support group, and/or social functions as appropriate or as requested.
7.) Maintains volunteer hours tracking.
