Medi Home Health & Hospice is looking for volunteers ages 18+ to be companions to Hospice patients. The ideal volunteer would be able to devote 1 or 2 hours per week to provide companionship to patients. We have patients on our service that live in their own homes as well as assisted living facilities and long term care facilities.
In addition to receiving the satisfaction of providing companionship to patients nearing the end of their lives, volunteers receive the following benefits:
Pre-volunteer training, continuing education, free PPD screening, free Hepatitis B series vaccination, free blood pressure screenings, and volunteer support group meetings.

Description
Our volunteers are the heart of the hospice team! We depend on volunteers to assist in providing support and care to our patients and their families during this time in their life. Volunteers can also provide pet therapy, bereavement support and administrative support. There's a lot to gain from being a hospice volunteer: satisfaction, greater self-knowledge and spiritual growth.
