Are you interested in education and community engagement? Well, Providence Promise is looking for individuals to volunteer with us at our summer events! Volunteers will engage with new families and students while presenting information about our program to increase enrollment and promote a college-going atmosphere in Providence. We have several events scheduled through July and August and are looking for high school or college students who have strong communication and leadership skills. The hours are flexible and can be as few as 3 or as many as 10 hours per week with events during the week and weekend.

About Providence Promise
Location:

Mission Statement
Providence Promise is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that opens the door to greater opportunities for Providence Public School students by reducing the financial burden of higher education.
Description
We work with families to open a CollegeBound Saver Account which is the 529 plan sponsored by the state of Rhode Island. Throughout the years, families save a percentage of their annual income in their individual accounts. By the time their child is ready to go to college, Providence Promise fills the gap between the cost of attendance and the financial aid students receive. After graduating college or trade school, students contribute a percentage of their income back to Providence Promise in a way that is predictable, equitable, and manageable.
We have enrolled almost 200 students in the program so far and are aiming to enroll 500 students by the beginning of 2019!
