The Behavioral Health Forum is centered around the transition to an integrated managed care system. The goal is to have "everyone" in one room and start the conversation in support of behavioral health organizations!

Join us along with representatives from MCOs, Washington Health Care Authority, National Alliance on Mental Illness and others, as the Thurston Asset Building Coalition and Thurston Safety Net Council present the Behavioral Health Forum: Our Most Vulnerable in 2019/2020.

As a volunteer, you would help set up for the event, which starts at 9:30AM, by moving tables and chairs, setting up registration tables, and dispersing materials and decorations to each table. We also ask that you are able to direct attendees and answer any questions they may have (or direct them to someone from the Thurston Asset Building Coaltion).

Mission Statement

Our mission is to connect partners and community resources to promote opportunities for people with limited incomes to become more resilient and prosperous. We envision a Thurston County wherein all individuals and families are able to live, work, meet basic needs, and prosper.

Description

The Thurston Asset Building Coalition is a network of social service providers, healthcare agencies, financial institutions, community and economic developers, educators, workforce developers, faith communities, businesses, government agencies, coalitions, and individuals. We are a coordinator and mobilizer of partners who serve people with limited incomes.

We define asset building as the strategies and supports that broaden and stabilize an individual or family’s resources - whether it be income, savings, housing, healthcare, education, or food - so that they may lead healthy, productive, and satisfying lives.
