The 5th Annual Wish Upon A Sunflower Gala will be Friday, August 3rd from 5:00-8:00 pm on Grand Lake in Cold Spring, MN. All proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Minnesota. Guests will spend a relaxing summer evening enjoying an amazing selection of wines and beers, as well as a variety of gourmet appetizers served throughout the evening. There will also be entertainment, a silent auction, a shopper's delight sunflower shop of everything sunflowers, photo opportunities galore, and a chance to hear from and meet a wish family or two. The event will take place alongside a breathtaking 2.5 acre field of sunflowers.
Many volunteers are needed to make this a special event for guests. Volunteer opportunities include: Set up (3:00-5:00 pm), Parking (4:30-7:00 pm), Bartending (5:00-8:00 pm, must be 21), Flower Cutters (3:00-5:00 pm, in the field), Silent Auction Coordinator (5:00-7:30 pm), Silent Auction Checkout (7:00-8:00 pm) and Clean-up (8:00-9:00 pm). Description
The Minnesota chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted more than 5,800 wishes to children with critical illnesses across the state since it began in 1982. With help from volunteers in areas of wish granting, fundraising, and administrative support, we make more than 200 wishes come true in Minnesota every year, showing these courageous kids that anything is possible.
