Hello! I am the Director of Activities for a skilled nursing community in Parker, Colorado. I am looking for volunteers with carpentry, building, tool skills to assist in the creation of dignified, age-appropriate sensory/busy/figet boards for residents with Alzheimer's and other dementias. These tools would be used to reduce stress, increase brain function, and improve strength & dexterity/fine motor skills. I have an idea of what I want these to look like, however I lack the skill set to execute them! If you have the skills, time, and an interest in assisting this population I would love to contact you!
