The mission of Compassus Hospice is to honor life and offer hope to individuals facing a terminal illness by supporting them and their families with compassion and dignity. Our volunteers are an awesome extension of the care we provide to our patients. In addition to our medical staff, we offer patient support volunteers, and other volunteers who specialize in particular fields and wish to share their talents and skills with those in hospice care. For example, we have Volunteer Cosmetologists, Musicians, Massage Therapists, Art Therapist, and Pet Therapy Volunteers. We also have Veteran Volunteers (Veterans that make visits with Veteran patients on hospice) and ANGEL/VIGIL Volunteers (volunteers who are willing to sit bedside during the patients last hours of life).

Mission Statement
Compassus Hospice is searching for compassionate people to spend time with hospice patients. Our volunteers report feeling personally rewarded through offering their time, energy and compassion when they see how much they are able to help patients and families. As a volunteer, you will form close bonds with patients by visiting, listening to and acknowledging their feelings in an unbiased way as they share their life stories. If this is something you believe you could commit to, please contact Samantha.Geromichalos@Compassus.com
