Our hospice patients sometimes have a wish to visit one more place or revisit one of their favorite places. Of course, it may not always be a place but another event or type of experience. We are starting a program to virtually provide patients that are bed bound (or physically unable) the experience they most want in their lives before their death. Perhaps they want to go to Alaska, our team would decorate their room, dress warm, provide music, customize a cake....all kinds of ideas would flow...
We need someone who has creative ideas.....someone who can create videos with music and family pictures...
If you enjoy the elderly, are sensitive to the infirmed, and have been looking for a way to use your unique talents, this is it! We look forward to talking with you!
Being with a hospice patient requires orientation, TB test and background check. We would provide for each.

Haven Hospice is committed to providing quality care for patients faced with a life-limiting illness. The goal is to improve the quality of a person's life through pain and symptom control, emotional and spiritual support. We believe that the patient and family are intergral decision making members of the hospice team in planning and receiving care. Hospice offers an alternative to repeat hospitalizations. Hospice affirms life. It neither hastens nor postpones death, but assists the patient and family in living with a life-limiting illness. Hospice regards dying as a normal process at life's end in which we can provide dignity and comfort for the patient and loved ones.
Description
Haven Hospice reaches it's goal of supporting the patient and their families through several various disciplines. Our doctors, nurses, CNA's, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and community educators make up our caring team of individuals who know how important hospice is to not only the patient, but to the entire family.
