VOLUNTEER WITH THE MCMINNVILLE AREA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Job Title: Light Fixture Repair
Purpose: Our mission is to bring people together to build homes, community, and hope. The Light Fixture Repair position helps achieve this mission by improving the quality of items sold at the ReStore. ReStore sales provide funds to help our Habitat families build their homes.
Location: Habitat ReStore, 1040 SE 1 st St, McMinnville, OR 97128
Suggested Activities: The Light Fixture Repair position will involve fixing lights and ceiling fans and testing those items before they are put on the sales floor.
Qualifications: Experience with and/or technical knowledge about light fixture repair, must be at least 16 years old.
Time Commitment: One 4 hour shift per week
Working Conditions: The Light Fixture Repair volunteer will work at a work bench in the receiving room. Seating is available. The receiving room has no temperature control and can be crowded. Some lifting is required for moving the light fixtures and ceiling fans.
Volunteer Supervisor: Receiving Room Attendant, Dave Connor

This the McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity partners with low-income families and volunteers to build safe, decent, and affordable homes in our community. Our service area includes McMinnville, Amity, Sheridan, Willamina, Yamhill, Carlton, and Lafayette. A portion of funding for our building projects comes directly from our Re-Store, a commercial enterprise selling donated, gently used home goods.
