Do you love to serve people in your community? Consider working on our mobile Canteen (feeding truck). On Saturdays we go out in to the community and serve a hot meal to those in need. If you have a group or want to volunteer as an individual than call today to set up a time. Volunteers will need to meet at The Salvation Army at 10:30 AM that day to load up and go out to a selected community.

Description

The Salvation Army located in Richmond KY provides many services to help those in need here in Madison county and 4 other surrounding areas. In our Social Service office, we provide emergency food and clothing for those in need as well as utility assistance. We also have a soup kitchen that runs on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 11-1. Our mobile canteen (mobile kitchen) goes out every Saturday to our most needed neighborhoods to serve soup and sandwiches.

We also have an emergency shelter that provides a safe place to stay for those in need.

Children programs are offered throughout the week for at risk youth in our community and we are always seeking good role models for these programs.

Without the generous support of volunteers, it would not be possible to provide all of the programs and services that The Salvation Army offers.
