The St. James’s Place Foundation Triathlon and Duathlon, in aid of Hope and Homes for Children, is now just a few months away and we’re looking for volunteers to help out on the day. Now in its sixteenth year, the event has raised over £1.9 million for the charity allowing thousands of children to grow up in the love of a family, not suffer in an orphanage. Without our wonderful volunteers, it wouldn’t have been possible to run the Triathlon year on year. We need over 90 people for the event to run safely so your participation is every bit as important as that of the competitors.

Key details:

Date: Sunday 7 October

Location: Nuffield Health, St Albans

Arrival time: 6am - 7.30am depending on your position

Finish time: 9am - 11am depending on your position

Roles:

• Swimming pool marshal - Counts competitor laps/directs participants in and out of their allotted lanes
• Cycle route marshal - Directs participants around cycle route, cheers them on and provides assistance where needed
• Run route marshal - Directs participants around run route, cheers them on and provides assistance where needed

• We will provide you with a letter of reference after the event
• Refreshments will be provided and you would be warmly welcomed to attend the buffet lunch and presentation at the end of the morning
• You will be helping vulnerable children to grow up in the love of a family
