San Francisco Public Library has been chosen by JetBlue Airlines to be a summer spot for their Soar with Reading Program. We have their big blue vending machine outside our Children's Center at the Main Library, and kids 0-14 can select and instantly receive free, brand-new books to keep! The program will run another eight weeks, through the end of August.

The kiosk is proving so popular that we are refilling it multiple times a day, and we could really use some help! It takes about 30 minutes to restock the machine, and we'd love to get helpers for the following times:

11:30 am (M-Th)
1:00 pm (every day)
3:30 pm (every day)
5:00 pm (every day)

We'll show you where the restocking book cart is, and how to use the diagram with that week's titles to *carefully* place books into the vending machine coils (don't you hate it when your selection *almost* gets vended and then just hangs there?). That's it! The kids have a ton of fun looking at the book choices and interacting with the machine, and research shows that children who grow up with books in their homes do better in school.

If you can come once a week for the next couple months, great--more is even better! If you could come a little earlier or a little later than the stated times above (e.g., 12:30 instead of 1:00), we can make that work.
