OVERVIEW
Passionate about teaching Science to kids in elementary schools?
Enthusiastic about the idea that you can help nurture future innovators?
Interested in bringing 21st century skillsets to an elementary classroom using an online platform?
Petri-dish Science is looking for volunteers to assist with creating educational content for online STEAM program.
DETAILS
- We need help in creating our content online.
- Knowledge of a Graphic design tool like Canva and Video editing skills on Imovie is a plus.
- All lesson plans are available with us. We require your time and creativity to implement our curriculum online and help us make it engaging for our students.
- You will be working with an experienced educator as a guide.
- A background in STEM subjects is a plus (though not necessary)
- This position is a remote working position and has no requirement to commute.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Passionate about education and interest in experimenting with new online tools.
- Good communication skills and comfort with creating simple visual content

At Petri-dish Science we have fun , high quality year round after-school S.T.E.A.M programs for kids from Kindergarten through 3rd Grade.Our lessons focus on teaching Science , Engineering and Design thinking concepts .
Our Philosophy
Research has proven that children when engaged with science early on can develop a lifelong passion for it .
We believe that there are no right or wrong answers. Every science and engineering problem has many possible solutions and multiple ways to reach them.
We tightly integrate enquiry based hands-on projects, design thinking concepts , stories , games and the Arts within our science curriculum. This builds in our kids creative confidence and the ability to innovate fearlessly.
