Grant Admin/Writing Intern (unpaid)
Department: Grants Administration
Reports To: Grants Manager
Hours per week: 10-12 hours (more if desired)
Age requirement: 16 years or older.
Role Description:
- Prepare, submit and manage clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive grant proposals to foundations and corporate donors.
- Write high-quality grant proposal narratives and supporting documents.
- Perform prospective research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants.
- Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the FAEW, and uses that knowledge and understanding to better comprehend all projects and programs for which grants will be sought.
- Assemble grant request materials for Grants Manager, including letters, proposals, budgets, and presentations.
- Create and maintain monthly acknowledgement letters for all major gifts and grants.
- Other duties as assigned.

Description
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is a food bank that works with a network of hunger relief partners to distribute more than 18.3 million meals a year to 377,000 people in eastern Wisconsin. We have facilities in Milwaukee and the Fox Valley.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin was founded in 1982 by the Rotary Club of Milwaukee and is a member of the Feeding America national network of food banks. Since our first donation of a bushel of apples, we have distributed more than 301 million meals to people facing hunger in our state!
