The wolves love the shade that these simple platforms provide! Wildlife Science Center has many construction projects we’d like to complete this summer, from building more shade platforms and shelter boxes to putting together brand new enclosures for our smaller residents. If you’re handy and love building, please email roberta@wildlifesciencecenter.org to find out how you can help us with our construction this summer.
Great opportunity for scout club or other group.

Mission Statement
The mission of WSC is to serve as an educational resource for all ages; by: providing exposure to wild animals and the body of knowledge generated for their conservation;to advance understanding of wild animal biology through long-term, humane scientific studies on captive populations, thus contributing to technical training for wildlife agencies, educational institutions and conservation agencies.
Description
A 501(c)(3) organization, the Wildlife Science Center offers programs focused on education for children and adults alike about the importance of conservation of our natural resources. In addition, we also conduct studies in support of the survival of critically endangered predators, train wildlife professionals from all over the world, and partner with the US Fish and Wildlife Service on the recovery of the Mexican Gray Wolf and the Red Wolf. The Wildlife Science Center is home to many wild animals such as foxes, cougars, owls and other raptors, lynx, bears and the largest resident wolf population in the United States. Many of the resident animals find sanctuary with the WSC as they would be unable to survive in the wild.
