App to Succeed, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that aims to end poverty in the U.S. by providing at-risk Americans with all the information they need to achieve financial independence and success.

Assignments to choose from.

Produce a 30-45 second video for the home page on our website telling our story. (Story board provided.)

Create a 10-20 minute video montage using our public domain video clips to create an important part of our unique online experience for American 16-19-year-olds. You edit the videos collaborating on the story line, The sound track can be done by our audio volunteers unless you prefer to do so.

Convert PowerPoint presentations and convert them to MP4 videos.



Our audio volunteers can do the soundtrack.

Requirements:

• Completed courses related to video production and editing.
• Have experience producing and editing videos and soundtracks.
• Preference for those with work experience in video productions and editing.
• Preference for professional or for those with a career interest in the field.
• Preference for those with proficiency in special effects, creative transitions and other techniques to demonstrate a creative state-of-the-art outcome.
• Preference for those who deliver on mutually-set due dates.
• Some assignments may require you to sketch a rough storyboard. You do not need artistic skills for this.

For assignments you need:

• Access to video editing equipment and software.
• Access to a video camera, (only if you choose to shoot some original footage.)
• Time available to finish at least one assignment that is usable quality.
• Ability to produce a professional quality video that meets the criteria.
• To be a creative, motivated, problem solver.
• The motivation and maturity to work independently and remotely and to meet timing expectations.
• To get approvals and input from stakeholder before you invest your time.
• To adapt work based on stakeholder feedback and direction.

Responsibilities

• Choose and complete at least one assignment
• Make edits that fulfill the direction for the assignment
• Use organization's public domain video clips to save time.
• Produce professional quality results
• Respect copyright and trademark restrictions.
• Search for better visual assets as needed
• Audio is optional (we have audio volunteers that can do the audio)

Compensation

As a non profit, we regret that we cannot yet pay our volunteers yet, however, we do offer other forms of compensation.

1. Those who complete a professional quality video that satisfies the objectives and exceeds expectations receive their choice of a letter of reference or a LinkedIn endorsement written and signed by the CEO plus # 2 and #3 below.

2. Those who fulfill their volunteer commitment will have their names posted on the website acknowledgment page.

3. Your name will appear in the credits of the program when published.

4 Flexibility:

• This position is virtual, saving you the time and expense of commuting.
• Hours are flexible. Work the times that work best for you.
• Start and end dates are flexible.
• The number of hours you work is flexible as long as assignment is completed
