Our rescue saves the lives of large breed dogs and we are growing. We need dependable, competent volunteers who can donate a few hours a week to help us bring a better life to these abandoned animals.
They are kenneled in Riverside county but our rescue office is in La Jolla/San Diego county.
1. Needed---volunteer who can research & spend time coordinating possible transport alternatives for dogs adopted from us who need to go out of state to their forever home. Being able to Google & contact & develop information on each transport such as where to go, what their requirements are, what fees & restrictions are involved, developing an association with the organization & maintaining up to date information on each transport will save lots of lives. We currently have no one to work with and our dogs could often have homes if we did.
2. Needed----volunteers who can use computer & Skype to do enhanced interrogation process for remote adopters prior to leaving to further insure our decision to allow our dogs to go there safely.
3. Needed---volunteer to do follow up calls/emails to adopters after adjustment period (usually 2 weeks) to THANK THEM & confirm our email in the event they need guidance, advice or have questions we might be able to help with.
Each of these can be done from your own home or computer or phone and will do a lot of good in helping these dogs to have a brighter future.
