Receive training to become a literacy volunteer - no teaching experience required. We will train you to tutor an adult student in reading, writing, and English acquisition skills.
Literacy Volunteers is seeking volunteer tutors to assist adults in learning how to read, write, or speak English. Many of our students are refugees and immigrants trying to become integrated members of our community. With your help, they can gain the valuable skills they need to be better workers, consumers, parents, and citizens. Our next New Tutor Training is on Saturday, August 18 at the Jefferson School City Center. If you’re interested in registering for tutor training or learning more, please call 434-977-3838 or visit literacyforall.org.
