The goal of this VISTA project is to develop and implement a recruitment and on-boarding plan to increase the number of individual and group volunteers who serve at the Restores, which will, in turn, raise more money that will help build more affordable homes. Project objectives include: 1) Research volunteer operations with other HFH affiliates and other nonprofits in order to discover effective recruiting and retention strategies. 2) Survey current ReStore volunteers to better understand motivation of both short and long term volunteer. 3) Based on research, beta test new and improved recruitment and retention processes and procedures. 4) create a formal recommendation report given to ReStore and Volunteer Department personnel regarding improvements in recruitment and on-boarding volunteers.

Interviews are done on a rolling basis. Please submit application as soon as possible to ensure consideration. Selection may be made before deadline date posted.
Benefits

In addition to the monthly living stipend, VISTA members who complete their year of service may choose either the Education Award of $5,920 or an End of Service stipend of $1,800. Members may also qualify for relocation benefits. ( http://www.vistacampus.gov/in-service/benefits-service )
