Grace Hospice does more than just spend time with their hospice patients. We are constantly reaching out in the community and hosting free art classes! The first Friday of every month until December, we hold a free art class with a maximum of 30 people. Grace Hospice provides the supplies, you show up with the talent. Our participants are wonderful individuals of the Mishawaka and South Bend community that love the opportunity to be creative and hang out with their friends. The class is held for 2 hours for one Friday a month and if you want extra volunteer hours you can use the rest in the office and help us stay organize! Contact Haley at 574-208-9280 or by email at hdunn@ghospice.com.

About HarmonyCares Hospice

Location:

5838 W. Brick Rd., Suite 101, South Bend, IN 46628, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is for each employee to treat every patient as their own treasured loved one, providing care that affords a quality of life that outweighs quantity of days, and supports caregivers as their hearts find healing.

Description

HarmonyCares Hospice of Indiana is the first HarmonyCares Hospice in the state and has Nurses, CNA's/Hospice Aides, Social Workers, Chaplains and Volunteers that assist the patients and support their families wherever the patient considers their "home" to be.

The hospice philosophy focuses on comfort care not curative care. The goal of hospice care is for the patient to remain as comfortable and pain-free as possible in their own home or the home of a loved one through the end of life. Hospice care can also be provided in a long-term care facility or an assisted living facility.

Hospice is a philosophy of caring for patients whose medical conditions are not responding to treatment or for those patients who choose not to seek aggressive medical care at the end stage of life. It is a program for patients who are considered terminal and are expected to live six months or less if the disease follows its natural course, although many patients outlive this time frame.

We strive to improve the quality of life for all we serve including our patient's families, their neighbors, and the community they live in. We strive to make an impact with everyone we meet and improve the community as a whole.

Come make a difference with the first HarmonyCares Hospice of Indiana. This is an opportunity that will change your life.
