POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a virtual volunteer(s) to assist the HR Coordinator, Executive Director, and/or leadership team members, to ensure that designated volunteers understand the basic information technology needs of the organization. We prefer a Dayton area candidate who could occasionally assist in-person if needed, but will consider other candidates well-versed in video conference technology and communication.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to speak, read, and write English well, including spelling and grammar. Pleasant, patient, professional demeanor and a sincere interest in helping others with technology needs and questions. Experience in a help desk type environment and/or fielding various questions from different systems and versions. Detailed knowledge required of Google Drive and various video conference tools, such as Google Hangouts and Skype. Basic knowledge of Google Docs and Sheets is needed. Knowledge of setting up a Google account, and how to establish and/or route new Mission Addiction Email accounts for those who are not as computer savvy. Additional IT expertise is a big plus.
DUTIES:
- Work with the Human Resource Coodinator and/or other leaders to get designated volunteers up to speed in the above technology areas.
- Answer requests within a week and respond professionally
- Troubleshoot existing problems and work tenaciously toward resolution
- Confirm when the work is complete and potentially, help log that in a Google Drive folder
- Possibly assist in enhancing existing, written tutorials and/or arranging group calls or meetings
- Assist with process efficiency for all of the above
- Help research and evaluate new technologies in various areas; special projects
