Mission Statement

Coordinate fund raising and provide fiscal and other support for the Los Alamos High School NJROTC program, whose purpose is to instill in students in United States secondary educational institutions the values of citizenship, service to the United States, and personal responsibility and a sense of accomplishment.

Description

Established in 1983 at Los Alamos High School. The NJROTC program consists of 100-150 LAHS students who engage in extracurricular activities that include organized interteam, multi-state drill program competitions, target shooting competitions, cyber security team competitions, academic competitions, and STEM competitions. The NJROTC unit provides community service with providing color guard and honor guard teams for funerals, VIP special events, and National Holiday celebrations/commemorations and cadets actively engage in other individual community service activities as part of their extracurricular efforts.
