"The second annual family-friendly Star City Music Festival returns to Brisbane, California-The City of Stars-at the eastern foot of San Bruno Mountain, where the sun hides from foggy San Francisco!"

Our non-profit, San Bruno Mountain Watch is a beneficiary of this groovy event and we're seeking volunteers to help us make this festival a success!

Volunteering for a two-hour shift (at your preferred time of day) will provide you with free entry to the music festival! Volunteer shifts examples include greeting people at the festival gates, supervising the kid's arts & crafts section, helping with the event set up, being stationed at the performing artists' merchandise table, etc.

Even while you're volunteering, you'll be where the action is! All shifts are at the community park in proximity of the main stage and music!

"On August 18th, DreamStar West and the City of Brisbane present artists including hip-hop star Lyrics Born and his devastating funk band, bluegrass rockers Poor Man’s Whiskey, Allman Brothers tribute the Allmond Brothers, world renown guitar virtuoso Eric McFadden (P-Funk, The Animals), Tahoe diva Ashley Kepler, as well as the Star City Allstars featuring Jimmy Leslie (Guitar Player, Guitarfish), Mikel Ross (Corrosion of Conformity)vocalist Stephanie Richardson, guitarist Jerry Kuhel , the winner of Brisbane’s Got Talent and more will play from 1:00pm until 8:30pm in stellar Community Park. Gates open at noon. The largest geographic feature on the San Francisco peninsula will provide breathtaking backdrop while artists perform on an awesome tranformer-truck style stage with a massive sound system.

At the Star City Music Festival, kids under ten get in free, and can go kid-crazy on the spacious playground and in the bounce houses. Food trucks serve diverse delectables, and the Lions Club will purvey festival favorites to benefit their cause of community service. Several bars serve adult beverages including craft beers by South SF’s 47 Hills Brewing Company. Brisbane’s business community including Alta Motorswill showcase innovative products, and non-profits offer valuable information in the gazebo where folks can learn how to get more involved in all sorts of groovy happenings."
