Help someone exiting homelessness move furniture into their new home! This opportunity is for Thursday and Friday afternoons ONLY. A big part of our housing program through Heading Home is helping clients move into their new home and providing the necessary furniture. This furniture is donated through generous donors. We need volunteers to help us on Thursday and Friday afternoons to help move furniture into their new homes. You have to be able to lift 50lbs.

Description
We are an Albuquerque based 501c3 non-profit organization, established in 2004. Heading Home is the backbone agency for ABQ Heading Home, a community wide initiative that aims to end chronic homelessness in Albuquerque. Along with our community partners in the for-profit, non-profit, private, public, and political sectors, we are providing permanent, supportive housing solutions to people who are medically vulnerable and are experiencing chronic homelessness. The ABQ Heading Home initiative has housed over 800 individuals since it began in 2011. Head Home also provides emergency shelter each night for 88 adult men experiencing homelessness through the Albuquerque Opportunity Center (AOC).
