San Diego Startup Week
Startup San Diego organizes San Diego Startup Week every June. Pictured are some of the leaders of our awesome group of volunteers.

Are you passionate about supporting individuals building startups in San Diego and have significant experience in nonprofit accounting, tax, law, or grants? We want someone like you to join our nonprofit’s Finance Committee. This is a Board level Committee that also serves in an advisory capacity to the Managing Director of Finance, who is also a volunteer. It is expected that the Finance Committee will meet 4-7 times during the term either in person in downtown San Diego or via Google Hangout. The success of the Finance Committee is dependent on Members' attendance, familiarity with documentation provided in advance of meetings, and substantive discussions and decisions at the meetings.

This is an unpaid, volunteer position reporting to the Chair of the Finance Committee, who also serves as the Treasurer. The time commitment is approximately 5-8 hours a month for the 1-year term. Startup San Diego is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that represents the interests of entrepreneurs, celebrates successes, and fosters a cohesive and collaborative community.
