We are located in the South East side of "downtown" Austin; on the northbound interstate frontage road of IH35, just north of the river where Lambie Street intersects the frontage road.

We need volunteers who are interested in long-term commitments to help "staff" our existing hours (Thursdays and Saturdays from 2-6 pm) and to help expand those days / hours in the near future.

Regular tasks include helping to process donated collection materials; unpacking, stamping, cataloging, shelving, etc., as well as maintaining and organizing our existing shelves of circulating and non-circulating materials.

Several other projects need help in the near future, including working with our thousands of periodicals and paper files, as well as upcoming outreach projects ranging from greeting attendees at future lectures and open house events, to help with Social Media, "Little Free Library" seeding, and much more!

The building is locked weekday evenings and weekends, so you will need to RSVP ahead of time so we know when to expect your arrival. You will also need to call us at (512) 842-9046 when you arrive so that we can come downstairs and let you into the building.
‚Äč We look forward to meeting you and working with you to help make our organization the best it can be.

Thanks for your interest and support!

NOTE: Due to space, staffing, workflow issues, we can only accommodate a maximum of 3 volunteers simultaneously during each of these volunteer work sessions. Thank you for your understanding.
