Volunteers, age 55 or greater are needed to help welcome international guest performers for Bountiful's Summerfest Festival. Our guests will be arriving on Sunday, August 5, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Volunteers will be on hand to welcome our performers as they arrive at the Bountiful Davis Art Center. You will help them unload from the buses, find their host families and sort luggage and musical instruments. Volunteers will also help serve food and drinks.
There are, on average, more than 90 performing artists who donate their time and talents to make Summerfest such a memorable event each year. They would not be able to perform for us at no charge without this kind of support from local families.
This volunteer opportunity is offered through Davis Co. Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and is for people age 55 or better. Volunteers younger than 55 years of age may contact James Bates, Summerfest Events Coordinator, at 801-295-3618 to volunteer.
Benefits of volunteering through RSVP include mileage reimbursement for travel between home and the volunteer station (up to 200 miles per month), as well as supplemental insurance coverage while serving.
Call us today for more information and to enroll as a volunteer.

Mission Statement
Davis County RSVP empowers and enables Americans 55+ in addressing community needs and concerns through volunteering.
Description
Americans 55+ have a lifetime of experience to share and the desire to make a real difference in their world. Members of this mature generation have managed households, been business owners and nurses, farmers and salespeople, artists and executives. Now they are ready to put their unique talents and expertise to work in their communities, and enrich their own lives in the process.
RSVP is the connection to aid volunteers in choosing how and where to serve, time of service, causes to support, and how to get started. RSVP provides pre-service orientation, training from the organization where service is given, supplemental insurance while on duty, and, in some cases, a mileage reimbursement to cover the cost of travel between home and the volunteer site.
When you volunteer, you're not just helping others - you're helping yourself. Volunteering leads to new discoveries and new friends. Plus, studies show that volunteering helps you live longer and promotes a positive outlook on life.
