Park Restoration
Volunteers helping maintain the nature trail at Pennypack on the Delaware Park

Looking to volunteer? Join us to help us maintain the parks and trails of Riverfront North. The location changes every week, but we'll have a drop-in opportunity every Thursday from 9am - 12pm.

Volunteer tasks include: trail maintenance, gardening, invasive removal, planting, watering, general park beautification and more!

All ages and abilities welcome, there is something for everyone!


MEET AT THE PAVILION NEAR THE SOCCER FIELDS - **THE ADDRESS IN THE DESCRIPTION LEADS YOU TO THE INTERSECTION OF PENNYPACK PATH and STATE ROAD. TAKE PENNYPACK PATH DOWN, UNDER THE I-95 OVERPASS AND CONTINUE FOR ABOUT 1/4 OF A MILE INTO THE PARK. KEEP FOLLOWING THE ROAD UNTIL YOU SEE THE PAVILION NEAR THE SOCCER FIELDS.

To complete and sustain the riverfront trail and network of parks along the Delaware River that connect residents of urban neighborhoods to nature, offering unparalleled recreational, community building, and environmental education activities.

Description

Riverfront North Partnership is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission of creating, activating and rejuvenating an 11-mile network of parks and trails along the Delaware River in northeast Philadelphia. Riverfront North is part of the greater Philadelphia regional "Circuit Trails" network and is a portion of the East Coast Greenway, which connect similar projects from Maine to Florida. In partnership with many others, including the Philadelphia Commerce Department and Department of Parks and Recreation, and local civic organizations, RNP is realizing the vision of a renewed Delaware riverfront.
