Job Title: Food Preparation

Objective: To prepare foods for the children utilizing the Picnics in the Park program

Location: The kitchen at the Presbyterian Church 17708 Vashon Hwy SW

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Dress appropriately, no open-toed shoes and hair pulled back
• Arrive at 9am in front of the church to meet the van
• Assist with unloading the van into the church kitchen
• Wash hands and follow all food safety guidelines as directed
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces and preparation materials before preparing foods
• Take direction from program manager on what food items to prepare
• Make note of how many of which items are prepared before moving on
• Pack up prepared items
• Clean and sanitize all surfaces and preparation materials
• Assist with loading everything back into the van

Reports To: Picnics in the Park Program Coordinator, Volunteer Manager, Executive Director

Required Skills/Traits:

• Food Worker Card strongly encouraged and preferred

Time Commitment:

• 2-3 hrs. Per shift, as often as the volunteer woul like to commit.
• Shifts are Monday-Friday 9am-11:30am

Duration of Position: Seasonal June 25-August 31

Training:

VMCFB General Orientation and Picnics in the Park (combined in 1 class for new volunteers). Orientation required
