Population Served: Adults, Seniors, People with Disabilities

Position Description: A community partner volunteer offers support and encouragement to a resident in one of Caritas/Catholic Charities properties. The Community Partner volunteer will spend time with a resident, offering friendship and building social support.

Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the resident. Common expectations may include:

-Help preparing meals

-Rides to appointments

-Crafts/Games/Activities

-other activities/duties as requested by the Resident Services Coordinator on site and Resident.

Position Requirements: Volunteers must be over 18, and submit to a criminal background check and motor vehicle screening. Proof of personal auto insurance (100/300/100 levels) is required if driving the resident is part of the service plan.

Supervisor: Resident Services Coordinator at the property

Time Commitment: approx. 2 hours per week.

Ideal Volunteer: Adults with some daytime or weekend availability
