Ready, set, count!
Get involved with an ongoing project to collect important data on bicycle and pedestrian activity. This year volunteers will count on September 10-12 from 5 to 7 p.m. and September 14 and 15 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Training will be provided for new count volunteers or past volunteers who just need a refreshers at Vancouver City Hall and the Clark County Public Works Service Center.
Trails count when we count them!
Each September, volunteers from throughout the region gather along trails to count and survey people biking and walking on the Intertwine the Portland metropolitan areas system of trails, parks and natural areas. The count is part of the National Bicycle and Pedestrian Documentation Projects ongoing effort to gather accurate trail use data to help decide where and when to build new trails and respond to the needs of trail users.

Our Goal: An Active, Involved Community To realize the benefits of our unique and diverse community in the City of Vancouver, we must create ways to break down barriers and make government more accessible to everyone. The interaction of residents and government strengthens our community. We also believe government effectiveness increases when citizens are engaged and informed. We value volunteers and encourage involvement, whether it is within the neighborhood or within the larger community, because it promotes a healthy city.
Description
Make a Difference
When you volunteer you change your community for the better. Whether it’s picking up litter in a neighborhood park, serving on a board or commission, or anything in-between, volunteers are creating positive change throughout the City of Vancouver. We welcome volunteers for one-time events, as well as those who would like to donate their time on a regular basis. Whatever your interests are, we can help find a volunteer role for you!
