St. Bernardine Hospice Care is located in Irvine and we are seeking compassionate dedicated volunteers to assist in our office and visiting our patients on hospice that are facing end of life. We are aware of the COVID-19 restrictions right now, so we offer complimentary on-line hospice volunteer training, where you can work at your own pace in the privacy of your own home.

Support and care for our veterans has been at the very heart of our mission at St. Bernardine Hospice Care. Every volunteer will receive extended training in our unique Hospice Volunteer Boot Camp that will train you to work with veterans who are facing end of life and their unique challenges. Honoring our veterans is not just a once a year event, but we honor our veterans every day. It is never too late to say thank you, even at the end of life and we need compassionate dedicated volunteers who share those feelings.

St Bernardine Hospice care sets the standard for veteran care and goes "above and beyond" in the care of all of our patients. We need volunteers who can help with funeral webcasting, as every family gets a memorial website. We need volunteers to help with getting and organizing the photos for the Keepsake Tribute DVD and upload the photos to a memorial webpage we offer the families. We need volunteers who enjoy creating some of the most outstanding personalized gift software with unlimited thousands of combinations including printing out the history of a last name and the meaning with the use of our unique software.

We are ALSO looking for volunteers who have artistic abilities and would like to branch out in Blacklight Chalk artwork for presentations for groups. We are willing to help train you. Compassionate bereavement volunteers are needed to help send out letters and make phone calls to families who have suffered a loss.

We need volunteers to put packets together in the office and help with newsletters, mailings, making and delivering dog tags for our veterans, bereavement volunteers, graphic design for graveside markers (we will train you). If you think you are willing to sacrifice a few hours a week to give the gift of friendship to someone facing end of life, drop us a line and we can talk. Play a musical instrument or sing? We need musical volunteers and we have a DVD and musical lending library to share with our patients.
