Responsibilities
STCC is looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to take on the role of Video Production Editor for our mobile app which is being developed to connect parents whose children have pediatric cancer. In June, we had a "Video Day" to capture five cancer families on camera. These parents spoke about their cancer journey and how our app (once completed) could play a significant role in reducing feelings of isolation and increasing hope. We need an editor to help edit this footage to create a 3-minute video for our upcoming fundraising Gala. This volunteer or intern will produce a high quality, short video clip-from concept to execution, for our event.
This person will help create this video to reflect our brand, enforce a language, and inject beauty and life into our messaging and help us communicate the amazing things we're achieving with this mobile app. Under general direction with our team, this person will take the lead to editing existing footage, sound mixing, graphic design/compression output and distribution. Your creativity has no limits, and we will appreciate your passion for all things film/video. Candidate must have their own equipment.
Experience:
The ideal intern will be a are enrolled in or recently graduated from undergraduate or graduate degree programs, or higher, in Film/Media Production and has any combination of education and training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.

Mission Statement
We forge connections and build relationships among families affected by pediatric cancer using smart technology, national partnerships, and focused research.
Description
Sweet Tea Cancer Connections (STCC), is building the first ever, nonprofit, healthcare mobile app which will help connect parents affected by Pediatric Cancer. Parents in the pediatric community can find hope, knowledge and empowerment through relationships with families on similar paths. Our app will allow parents to find others whose children have similar diagnoses, who are in the same treatment phase, and who are even in the hospital at the same time. By directly connecting parents who understand each other’s experiences, they will know they are not alone.
