ORGANIZATION: Greenheart Exchange

Greenheart Exchange, a non-profit student exchange organization, is seeking volunteer host families in the greater Boston area to host one of three upcoming French exchange students on our Independent Homestay Program. These students will spend time with the host participating in everyday activities and exploring the community on their own, with the aim of improving their English and getting to know American culture. Below is more info about the participants:

  1. Tony, from France, is 15 years old. He arrives Saturday August 4 th and will stay three weeks, until August 25 th. Tony’s interests include playing the piano, listening to music, and watching TV shows on Netflix. He also enjoys playing badminton, biking, and swimming.
  2. Arielle, from France, is 16 years old. She arrives Sunday August 12 th and will stay two weeks, until August 26 th. Arielle’s interests include horseback riding, running, body-building, and listening to music.
  3. Oceane, from France, is 16 years old. She arrives Sunday August 5 th and will stay three weeks, until August 26 th. Oceane is interested in horseback riding (particularly jumping in competition), photography and cooking. She loves skiing, traveling abroad, and listening to pop music. She is a huge animal lover and has a cat, tortoise, and 2 gerbils at home.
  4. Valentin, from France, is 15 years old. He will arrive to Boston July 5th and will stay for a week and a half, until July 15th. Valentin enjoys soccer, basketball, climbing, and swimming.

We have temporary placements with local representatives if needed for both participants but are hoping to find families for each to start as soon as possible upon or after arrival.

Hosting can help you make an international friend and explore your own community through new eyes.

Hosts provide a bed (student may share a room with similarly aged host sibling), meals, and a warm and safe environment. Our students come with spending money and insurance. A local American coordinator provides ongoing support to the student and host family. A few short weeks can lead to lifetime friendships!

If you are interested in hosting either of these students, please complete a host inquiry here and indicate which student you are interested in hosting, in the comments:
