On Thursday, August 9, Greater Twin Cities United Way is teaming up with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx at Target Center to host Action Day 2018, an all-ages, family-friendly volunteer event to help Twin Cities kids go back to class set up for success!
Event volunteers will have an immediate impact they fill 25,000 backpacks with school supplies during an unforgettable day with all seven of Minnesota’s pro sports teams. Our goal is to bring together 4,000 volunteers, doubling our impact over last year.
There are over 600 staff roles that need filled in order to help execute this event, making sure Action Day runs smoothly and is an all-around great experience for everyone! As a member of our event staff, you play a critical role in this success - we literally would not be able to put on this event without you!If you are interested in volunteer in a staff role, email Cayleigh.kuntz@gtcuw.org for a complete list of roles and shifts.
Note: There are many shifts that take place during the 2 - 9 pm time frame.
