ALIVE's Nights of Safety (NOS) program provides temporary emergency shelter and transportation to victims of domestic violence, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Unique in the St. Louis area, this emergency sanctuary program, which partners with confidential locations, is utilized when there are no available beds in St. Louis area domestic violence shelters. NOS volunteers may assist with crisis calls, travel to conduct intakes with clients, arrange clients with transportation and food, provide appropriate referrals, and other crisis services as needed. There are available shifts for this volunteer opportunity seven days a week (Sunday through Saturday) and the shifts are available around the clock. If you're a night owl we have a shift for you! If you're an early bird we have a shift for you too! If you like a late start - never fear! We have a shift for you too! Since we operate 24 hours a day seven days a week there are plenty of opportunities.
