This a volunteer position and we are a primarily volunteer-run organization. The knowledge of our impact inspires us. We are looking for someone that is similarly inspired!

ORGANIZATION

Founded in 2011, NoStigmas’ mission is to raise awareness and erase the stigmas surrounding suicide and mental illness by sharing stories of hope and inspiration, educating the general public and those affected by mental illness by providing them with information and support. We do this by means of peer-2-peer support programs, awareness campaigns and wellness events.

We envision a world without shame or discrimination related to mental health, suicide, brain disease, behavioral disorders and addiction with universal access to mental health education, support, and resources creating a world with NoStigmas.

POSITION

This is a newly created position and is ideal for a recent graduate or someone seeking a career change. Our hope is to discover someone who is interested in growing with the organization. The ideal candidate will have the adaptability and organization to work with a virtual team.

Reporting to the President and Program Manager, the Program Coordinator will directly coordinate day-to-day aspects of NoStigmas' staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. Responsibilities include:

Leadership & Management:

  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, program evaluation, and consistent quality of administration, fundraising, communications, and systems
  • Actively engage and energize NoStigmas' volunteers, board members, event committees, alumni, partnering organizations, and funders
  • Coordinate and develop NoStigmas' Leadership Team, volunteers and interns
  • Track and regularly evaluate program components with the Program Manager, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents

Fundraising & Communications:

  • Expand revenue generating and fundraising activities to support existing program operations and expansion
  • Deepen and refine all aspects of communications-from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand

Planning & New Business:

  • Assist in implementing national expansion and complete the strategic business planning process for program expansion into new markets
  • Publishes and communicate program results with an emphasis on the successes of the local program as a model for regional and national replication

QUALIFICATIONS

The Program Coordinator will be thoroughly committed to NoStigmas' mission. All candidates should have leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience. Candidate experience and other qualifications may include:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 1 year of leadership experience; track record of effectively leading an outcomes-based organization and staff
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
  • Past success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships
  • Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
