ORGANIZATION: Pima Community College Adult Basic Education for College and Career

Overview: The class prepares English language students to learn about US based job skills including resume and cover letter writing, searching for jobs, and preparing and practicing for job interviews.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach weekly two hour class
  • Work in small groups with class participants on material covered
  • Prepare and present curriculum and materials to class participants
  • Keep track of weekly attendance with sign-in sheet
  • Be an active participant on the Transitions team

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communications skills
  • Responsible
  • Team-player, open to learning
  • Willingness to give and receive assistance
  • Strong desire to be placed into a multi-cultural, multi-level learning environment

Pima College Adult Basic Education for College and Career (ABECC) Mission: We meet every adult learner where they are, honor their strengths and support them to their goals.

We offer free, non-credit high school equivalency classes, English language classes, career contextualized instruction, and citizenship preparation classes.

Volunteers are essential to fulfilling our mission and we welcome inquiries from community members who want to help the thousands of adult students we serve each year.
