The Medical Team Hospice is seeking individuals who want to help our team provide support to the families who've lost loved ones. Volunteers will provide grief support and help us to let the family know we're thinking of them and share their sorrow. Assist with once-a-month condolence calls and 6 months and 1-year bereavement follow-ups.
We are seeking excellent listeners who are empathetic and have a knack for connecting with people 1 on 1.
The Medical Team Hospice will provide training by the Bereavement Coordinator, who will facilitate in-depth bereavement training. The training will include phone script(s), commonly asked questions, topics with tips on how to handle grief.
Requirement:
Commitment 1-2 times a month / 1 - 3 hours
