Do you and your certified therapy dog enjoy bringing cheer to people of all ages? Would you like to help reduce the stress many people feel when in a hospital environment? If yes, we would love to have you join our team of certified pet therapy volunteers. Pet therapy volunteers are a valuable asset at LVH-M, enabling the hospital to provide a special service that can make a patient's stay more comfortable and pleasant.
Pet therapy volunteers and their certified dogs visit with hospital patients, guests, and staff one 2 hour shift per week. Opportunities exist for visits throughout our hospital campus seven days a week. Flexible scheduling is available.

YOU can make a vital difference - safely. There are multiple volunteer opportunities available for adults and students ages 16 and older. Volunteers must have had all necessary doses of a COVID-19 vaccine AND have completed the waiting period to ensure the maximum immunity. Volunteers must always wear a mask (e.g., cloth) over the nose and mouth.
