Watering Volunteers Needed

Keep North Charleston Beautiful is looking for volunteers to help water our gardens in and around the Park Circle Butterfly Garden. Do you have three to four hours a week to help make the flowers in the garden grow? This is a great opportunity for high school and college students to get some community service hours over the summer. We have all of the supplies you will need (a super long hose and sprayer for the hose), but you may wish to bring items with you such as sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, or earbuds to listen to music while you water.

You can start as early as 7am, and watering normally takes about 3 -4 hours each day unless we have two people watering which decreases the time. (When it is warm outside, you will probably want to start as early as possible to beat the afternoon heat.) If you only have the afternoon available to volunteer you can start as late at 1pm but watering must be complete by 3:30pm.

This is a great way to earn service hours for a school or organization. You will get a workout while you do something good for the environment! We need volunteers Monday - Thursday to water. Ideally we would like at least two volunteers each day.

If you are interested in this volunteer opportunity, sign up online at www.keepnorthcharlestonbeautiful.org/watering or email us at kncbsc@gmail.com. Thank you!
