We are looking for some awesome volunteers to help assemble a huge public art piece that will be displayed during Scottsdale's annual Canal Convergence event!

What: Join Boston-based artists, Jin Choi and Thomas Shine in assembling their large-scale public art crochet piece for Canal Convergence. The pieces are already crocheted and now it is time to put the pieces together by doing basic in and out sewing. If you have fixed a button or sewn on a patch, you are qualified!

When: August 13-September 3 with shift times of 9-1 and 1-5 every day including weekends. Thursdays will have an additional shift from 5-9 pm. We would love if people could do multiple shifts or a whole day but honestly, every little bit will help!

Where: Scottsdale Public Art Storefront at the Scottsdale Waterfront, 7038 E. 5th Ave. Scottsdale, AZ 85251

What to Wear: Comfy clothes. We will be indoors and provide tables and chairs so it will not be a physical job whatsoever. I think just having the ability to push a needle in and out of fabric will be required.

Food: We will be providing water and light snacks throughout the day. No full meals as the project is made out of white cord and needs to stay white!

Parking: There is a dirt lot behind the building that typically should have an open space to park. There also is a parking garage just East of the dirt lot within walking distance. 5 th Street and the general Old Town Scottsdale area should have plenty of parking around these times.
