We are looking for volunteers to spend their time helping out in our Food Pantry from 1pm-5pm. Volunteers sort through food donations and help stock our shelves with produce. West Valley Community Services (WVCS)* Food Pantry volunteers are a vital part of our organization. This is a great opportunity for volunteers that like to get moving, feel they've made a difference and enjoy serving clients in a direct way and make new friends! Responsibilities include:
- set up and clean up of the food pantry
- unloading, sorting and stocking donated goods
- assisting clients as they shop in the pantry
Volunteers are asked to volunteer for 1 shift per week, for at least 6-8 consecutive weeks. We'd love for you to volunteer with us longer if you'd like! Closed-toed shoes are required.
*West Valley Community Services (WVCS) is a basic needs organization that serves people in need in the Cupertino, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, and West San Jose areas. The mission of WVCS is to encourage the sharing of community resources, to provide basic human needs in a caring and dignified environment, and to provide opportunities for volunteers to participate in WVCS' activities.

About West Valley Community Services:
West Valley Community Services, Inc. is a non-profit, community-based agency that has been providing direct assistance and referral services to the west valley communities of Santa Clara County for over 45 years. Founded in 1973, West Valley Community Services provides a continuum of basic needs, including an in-house and mobile food pantry, homeless support, affordable housing, emergency financial assistance, family support, referrals, education, and case management. West Valley Community Services serves homeless and low-income individuals and families in the west valley communities of Cupertino, Saratoga, West San Jose, Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, and the surrounding mountain regions.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 8 am to 12 pm, 1 pm to 5 pm
Saturday and Sunday: Closed
