Volunteer needed to serve as Facilitator of DAPS group exercise class at our MacArthur Hills Senior Living location on Tuesday & Friday each week. This class is free of charge and for people affected with Parkinson's disease. The class time is 10 am to 11 am each week but volunteer would need to arrive around 9:30 am until about 11:15 am.
Classes are led by an instructor and the Facilitator's role is:
- Keep record of class attendance
- Set up necessary class supplies (light hand weights, balls, etc.)
- Ensure participants complete necessary paperwork
This is a great opportunity to meet people and help those affected by Parkinson's disease. This class meets twice a week on Tuesday's and Fridays from 10 am to 11 am.

Description
DAPS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organized in 1978 by Clarice Dougherty to provide support to those, like her husband, who struggle with Parkinson's disease. We provide free and low-cost resources to people with Parkinson's and their loved ones, including group exercise, speech/swallowing therapy, Dance for PD(r), care partner support groups, monthly educational/motivational meetings, and a monthly newsletter.
