VolunteerMatch, the web’s largest volunteer engagement network, is looking for a talented, pro-bono SEO expert to help evaluate the effectiveness of www.volunteermatch.org for organic search. Every month, a significant amount of our web traffic originates from Google and other search engines. To ensure that we continue to do well in search -- and to further improve it -- we need a better understanding of best practices as online search evolves.
The SEO specialist will assist with site / page audits; make recommendations for improving organic search, with a focus on driving traffic to our own internal search pages; these pages connect volunteers with nonprofit opportunities. The expert will provide recommendations for optimizing copy, keywords, and landing pages; assist with link-building strategies; make overall content recommendations for organic SEO.
This position can be managed on location or remotely.
