Hoppy Hour Leads ensure that each Hoppy Hour runs smoothly, safely and fun for rabbits and humans alike. They act as the host of Hoppy Hour and a representative of MCRS.

Time Commitment: Hoppy Hour Leads generally commit 11 hours a month to championing their location.

  • Work with their co-lead to mange all administrative aspects of the assigned Hoppy Hour location. This includes; maintaining sign in sheets and fee and donation deposits
  • Work with their co-lead to maintain and communicate the Hoppy Hour Schedule for assigned location. For example, Leaders should let the social media team and website coordinator know if they need to cancel or reschedule a Hoppy Hour as soon as possible
  • Work with their co-lead to establish and maintain a schedule of Bouncers and groomers to work each Hoppy Hour event. This includes communicating the schedule with all Bouncers and groomers, maintaining a calendar of their assigned dates and assisting in finding a replacement if they are unable to attend
  • Act as a representative and host for MCRS at Hoppy Hours. This includes ensuring all MCRS policies, guidelines and procedures are being implemented at their assigned location
  • Answer basic questions about rabbit care and behavior for the public
  • Schedule and participate in volunteer orientation and continuing education Rabbit Care & Handling
  • Ensure MCRS’ Rabbit Care and Handling Policy is being followed at every Hoppy Hour
  • Lead and assist with Rabbit management at Hoppy Hour

Hoppy Hour Volunteers can let their Bunnies play with the $3 fee waived! Some Rabbit experience is helpful in this role, but any volunteers attend MCRS Orientation and will be trained.
