Driver's Assistant

We are looking for a Driver's Assistant to help out a few days a week - mostly in the summer. Must have a flexible schedule which allows for trips that could be 10 hours round trip. The Driver's Assistant will accompany our driver when he goes to pick up donated books for Booksavers to sell. Ideally, candidates will be able to lift up to 50 lbs and help load and unload the truck. It would be helpful if you could operate a pallet jack/forklift. If interested in driving the truck, must have a clean driving record and a D.O T. physical card necessary for interstate commerce.

Description
Booksavers of Maryland, located in Hagerstown, MD, is a non-profit organization that accepts donated books to be reused or recycled. We resell quality used book online and in our store. We recycle paper and cardboard from books not able to be resold. We save thousand of unwanted books from ending up in landfills. We give our proceeds to MCC, a relief organization working in the U.S. and around the world. MCC responds to basic human needs and works for peace and justice. We believe that everyone should have access to food, water, health,education, peace and relief.
